More than a hundred people gathered in the First Baptist Church gymnasium on Sunday to celebrate the people who work hard to make Parsons a better place.  For many, it was a moving tribute to the real-life heroes in our midst who so often go unrecognized.

Master of Ceremonies Jane Barb, a member of the Parsons City Council, started things off with a look back at life in Parsons long ago.  She got the crowd laughing with a few stories from her rich collection.
