Repainting the Quiltwalks—Volunteers Needed!

Let's make sure downtown looks dazzling for the Fire Dept. Homecoming Carnival!

Please come out and help us repaint the quiltwalks at Second and Walnut Street on Saturday, April 30.  In case of rain, we will choose a different date.

Please call (304) 478-6009 or email parsonsontrac@gmail.com if you would like to help (so that we can make sure there are enough paintbrushes).

Let's Paint the Town II

Last Saturday's Paint the Town volunteers demonstrated some serious elbow grease as they scraped old paint from window trim all along Front Street.  All this scraping will prepare the windows for a fresh coat of paint.

A special thank you to Megan Hudock at WBOY-TV, who helped bring the Parsons story to a wider audience.  Check out the WBOY coverage of the event here.

Thanks also to the City of Parsons for their support, especially allowing us to use the bucket truck.

Stay tuned for information about the next Paint the Town event sometime in August!

Come spend an afternoon enjoying the spring weather and helping your community!

As part of the annual Spring Clean Up, PRO ON TRAC and other local volunteer groups will be picking up trash along the paved parts of the Allegheny Highlands Trail (the local rail-trail) throughout the week of April 19-25.  The City of Parsons will provide gloves, trash bags, vests and extension pickers upon request.  Students may earn Service Learning Hours for their time.

Let’s all pitch in to make our communities beautiful and safe.  Thank you for your support!
